Side Effects of PEDs

Using performance-enhancing substances (or simply doping) is usually associated with bodybuilding, weightlifting, and athletics. But as you can see in the infographic, practically every popular sport has been tainted by claims of doping. The range of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) is wide, and even potential health issues don’t stop athletes from both Olympic and Non-Olympic sports from doping.
AddictionResource authors warn that taking PEDs may lead to dependence. Some PEDs users have a withdrawal syndrome when trying to quit the drugs. In fact, about 30 percent of anabolic steroids abusers experience withdrawal symptoms, such as restlessness, mood swings, or depression.
